Look at how big Miss Scout has already become! It doesn’t seem like that long ago we were planning for her arrival and now she’s sitting up and getting into things.

Timing couldn’t have been anymore perfect for when she turned 6 months old. My bff Becky, over at Intuition Backgrounds by Becky G., had her Spring line coming out and wanted me to help model some new backdrops. I always get a little giddy when her new lines are coming out because they are absolutely fabulous 100% of the time. I’m pretty sure I own about 90% of all her backdrops already and each time I place an order, I know it’s going to be something completely different that what I already have of hers.

Anyway, back to Miss Scount 🙂

This little peanut came ready to show out for the camera. Her beautiful smiles and big pretty eyes made each picture she took “My favorite”. LOL. I honestly couldn’t choose which one was my favorite, so you are all going to get to see quite a few of them here today! {Not to mention the fact that you get a Sneak Peak into the new Spring line of backdrops!!!! Eeeeeeekkkkkk!} Even her serious expressions were absolutely adorable!!

I hope you all enjoy your Sneak Peak as much as I enjoyed capturing this sweet moment for little Miss Scout!  Now it’s time to start planning her first birthday photo shoot with the whole family and the amazing, year end, first birthday CAKE SMASH!!

At the very end of the Session, she pretty much had her mind made up that she was done. Her faces kept getting more and more serious as the time passed, and I just knew that my smiles were fading fast. But I do have to say, that last picture she did with her fingers in her mouth propped up…. definitely one of my favorites from her session. Her little personality came out bright and shiny with that one! LOL.

Happy 1st Birthday Khalil!!

It’s such an honor when parents drive from far off distances to come see you so that you can capture their child’s precious memories! This sweet Mama and her baby boy drove over 2 hours to come see me 2 weeks ago so that I could photograph his first birthday pictures. I’m so very glad they did because I’m pretty sure I was smitten with Mr Khalil the whole session!

As soon as they walked into the studio I just knew we were going to get some pretty cute stuff from him. He flashed me that beautiful smile and all I saw were dimples… which by the way, make me weak in my knees! LOL. Once we got going in the session he quickly looked at Mom and wasn’t too sure about what this crazy lady {me} was trying to accomplish but he just wasn’t too sure about it! Hahahaha….. so we got Mom to scoot even closer to him and slowly but surely we were able to get him comfy enough for his bright personality to start showing through in his Portraits! So you’ll be able to see, through the progression of his session, that at the beginning he was just a little iffy about things, but the further you got into it… the happier he got 🙂

I know at the end of the Session Mom was probably super stressed and feeling like we didn’t get anything she had hoped for, just because of the stress of how one year old’s normally act, but I reassured her time and time again that she was going to be super excited about the outcome and that she didn’t need to worry about any of it. I’m so glad I was able to hold up my end of the bargain and give Mom images she’ll never forget. The first few years always seem like such a blur, I’m glad I was able to be a part of her “blur” and help time stand still for her and Mr Khalil as he celebrated his first big birthday 🙂

I hope you all enjoy your Sneak and I hope Mr Khalil has a very Happy 1st Birthday!!

I have no words to describe just how cute Mr Klein is!! He is one of the cutest babies I’ve had the pleasure of photographing and when his Mommy brings him to his Sessions…. you best believe he’s going to rock them out! I can always count on his big boy smile to shine through and make the Session amazingly fun!

His big blue eyes and wide open smile just  melt my heart each Session. He’s probably one of the happiest babies I’ve seen in a long time. So much so, that his Mommy is going to drive back to me this week so Mr Klein can model some new backdrops from the new Spring lineup from Intuition Backgrounds by Becky Gregory! I hesitated asking Mom to come back because she lives almost 3 hours away from me, but as soon as I started hinting around that I would need a little guy to help me model some of the new drops, she quickly jumped on the band wagon and said she would be more than happy to drive back to see me!! Now that is dedication! LOL.

Can I just mention how much I wanted to keep that super awesome baby stroller that Mom just so happened to find at an antique store just before our Session together? I try to hit up Antique stores in my area once or twice a month, just to see if anything stands out at me, and I never see stuff like this…. and Mom walks into an Antique store once and VOILA…. she finds magic! LOL. She started laughing and told me that she loved it so much, that she actually took it shopping with her right after she got it so that Baby Klein could ride in it while she looked around at things… how awesome is that!! And let me tell you, Klein is just as much in love with it as I am! He didn’t want to get out of it at the Session… 🙂

Enjoy your Sneak Peak!

Sweet Baby Ava wanted to make sure her grand entrance into this world was nothing short of Grand! LOL. After making Mom go through over 26 hours of labor, she finally debuted and was welcomed with love and lots of kisses and snuggles 🙂 Once Mom had Dad convinced that she needed to document this special time in their lives with a Professional Newborn Photoshoot, Mom drove almost 2.5 hours to come see me. That is such an amazing feeling knowing there were other photographers a lot closer to her, but she chose me to help document and save these precious memories. If that doesn’t make you feel like you’re doing something right, nothing will 🙂

Once they arrived to the studio with Baby Ava, we went ahead and got started so we could get as many different looks as possible. She started off wide awake, which is actually a really sweet thing because parents ALWAYS love the wide awake shots, so we went ahead and got some of her with her beautiful brown eyes. She was really good with the whole eye contact thing as well, especially with her only being 14 days new! But it didn’t take long, she drifted off to sleep and I got to work my magic. Talking about a dream baby….. she was the definition! She let me wrap her up, ball her up and do all kinds of wonderful poses with her and hardly made a sound. I think one of my favorite images from her session with me would either be the Froggy picture, with the bear headband on…. or either the very last picture where we had her laying on my wood swing in her super cute baby blue outfit. {Blue is my favorite color to put on girls… don’t ask me why, but it’s always so complementing! } OF COURSE, the last picture of her on the swing was a composite shot, so please don’t just have a baby laying on a swing with no supervision!! I had Mom and Grandma on either side of her and a Column under the swing to make it secure. Once we got the picture with the baby, we took her off and got a picture of the Mom and Grandma holding the swing up and VOILA! Composite complete 😉

Baby Safety is ALWAYS put first before any pose or special look we are trying to achieve.

I hope you all enjoy your Sneak Peak and I look forward to many more Sessions with Baby Ava!

It seems like everyone has been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Jacob and he’s finally here!! His Mom is a school teacher here in the Valley and I’m so honored that she chose me to capture his first sweet moments.

Mom and Dad are both into hunting and camping so I knew I had to implement that into the Session somehow, someway. You see, each session I photograph, I try to make as personal as possible. No baby is the same, so why should their pictures be? I encourage my parents to bring in special items that tell the story of who they are and what hobbies make them happy. This Session was super important to them because Baby Jacob was a surprise baby!! Mom and Dad tried for years to have another baby and it just never worked out. But God is amazing. He wanted it to be on HIS time and HIS time alone. And they now welcome this sweet, beautiful, and very loved baby into their world to complete their amazing family of 4.

Baby Jacob was such a dream baby. As soon as Mom arrived, we topped him off with a little extra milk and he drifted off into what I call the Milk Coma 🙂 And that is exactly what I like to see in my Newborns. This makes the Session go by so much easier as I’m able to safely transition them from one pose to another without really interrupting their sleep. This makes for a much larger gallery of images and a super duper happy Photographer… LOL.

While I do LOVE to photograph lots of color, I also like to get more into the neutral tones and mix and match different textures. Since Mom and Dad have more of a neutral toned home, she requested the same color palette for the Newborn Session so that she’d be able to use some of his Newborn Portraits to decorate their home with.

I hope you all enjoy your Sneak Peak of Baby Jacob!!

Oh how the time flies by… especially when you’re as cute as Little Miss Addison! Her 7 Month Photo Shoot was a complete success and I couldn’t have been any happier with the end results.

Mom and I have become quite good friends, so I’ve had the privilege of watching Little Miss Addison grow and grow over this past year. And let me tell you…. she is the spitting image of her big Sister Ava. Like… literally. If they were the same age, you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. Lets just hope she grows up to be just as sweet as Miss Ava too 🙂

I can’t tell you enough how much I love photographing this family. And let me tell you why…. Mom doesn’t care. She doesn’t care what colors we use. She doesn’t care what outfits we use. She doesn’t care what backdrops……. she doesn’t care. Because she knows that the more she is open to ideas, the better the sessions go. She trusts me 100% to pull off images that are going to be super colorful, vibrant, classic and timeless. And every single session…. we do just that. We always pull it off. {It totally doesn’t hurt the fact that her babies are both super photogenic and LOVE eating up some camera time! LOL}

And guess what…. we are getting together again in 2 days to shoot a surprise….. ok, ok… want to know what we’re shooting? The BRAND. NEW. MATILDA. JANE. LINE UP!!!! You are going to want to stay tuned because this new line up…. it’s going to be epic! Want to see what all the fuss is about? Check out Melisa’s Matilda Jane shop HERE. Make sure you tell her I sent you her way 🙂

Now, without further ado, here is the Sneak Peak of Little Miss Addison’s 7 Month Photo Shoot!

Little Miss Baylee came by for her 6 Month Photo Shoot and guess what…..

Oh sweet rolls.

That about sums up just how chunk-a-licous little Miss Baylee was for her 6 Month Photo Shoot! When Mom told me she had grown a good bit since Newborn and that she had some rolls now, I was like… yeah.. ok. Most babies do get a little bigger for the 6 month shoot because they aren’t really mobile just yet, so they aren’t able to burn it all off…. but she didn’t warn me just how adorable Miss Baylee was with all of her rolls!!! She is every photographers dream! LOL. There’s just something about a baby girl with rolls that makes my heart pitter patter a little more than normal. And when Mom requested we get a Profile of her….. mic drop. I couldn’t have thought of any better way I wanted to spend my day than with loving on Miss Baylee and her super adorable big sis Emma! Who by the way…. is a super star herself with her gorgeous red hair!

As soon as I saw just how perfect Miss Baylee was, I just KNEW I had to get her in one of my flower bonnets. It just had to happen. Like, consider it a done deal, had to happen!! I had this vision that I wanted of her, and I’m sooooo very glad she cooperated long enough to make my vision a reality. Here lately I’ve gotten really happy with mixing different tones of the same color together to create a nice contrast, but also to keep it all in the same color family. And when I saw her baby blue eyes.. I knew EXACTLY what I wanted done! Blue on blue with a blue bonnet. Check. 6 Month Photo Shoots are quickly becoming one of my favorite sessions to photograph!!

A HUGE shoutout to Becky from Intuition Backgrounds by Becky for always producing such amazing Backdrops and floors that I get to spoil my clients with!

Enjoy your Sneak Peak!!

Baby Kaden has made his grand appearance and this beautiful family couldn’t be happier! They have anxiously awaited meeting their newest addition for weeks and months now and now that he’s finally here, he is bring spoiled rotten!! Between Aunts and Uncles, Grandma’s and Grandpa’s, and lets not forget the cousins he gets to grow up with…. this little man will always have people close by willing to do whatever Mom and Dad need help with 🙂

As soon as Mom and Dad announced their pregnancy, my amazing friend Brittany contacted me and wanted to purchase a session for sweet Baby Kaden. See, Brittany is sisters {in law} with the Mom and was so excited to be able to shower her with memories that she knew Mom would truly cherish. And Mom was over the moon excited when she found out that Mr Kaden was getting his Newborn Session Portrait taken. Mom had already chosen a sailboat type theme for his room and I was on a mission to make his session be based around that! Lots of blues and reds with touches of grey in between.

During our Session together, I’m pretty sure Baby Kaden didn’t even make a peep. Mom said that he had stayed up quite a bit of the night before, so he was super sleepy during our Session together. Which is exactly how I like my babies…… milk drunk, and sleepy! We were able to get so many different poses with him, all while he hung out and counted sheep…. or race-cars. I’m pretty sure it was race cars now that I think about it. {This family is HUGE into racing…} None the less, he was a complete angel baby and was the perfect little client for me 🙂

You see, there is no greater compliment than your friends wanting to share your talent with their friends and family. And to know that they trusted me with moments they can never get back, and moments that flee all too quickly, means more to me than they will ever know 🙂

Enjoy your Sneak!

Sweet Baby Worth….. I see you playing football in your future! Wanna know why? This sweet boy was 5 days overdue and do you know what encouraged him to make his debut? The Super Bowl. Yep… that’s right. I’m claiming it now, that this is the future of our Super Bowl right here 🙂

As if that wasn’t enough, Mom had to undergo an emergency surgery as soon as he made his debut because of some health scares. But look at this precious face. Is it not totally worth it? His squishy little cheeks and beautiful eyes had me swooning over him the entire session. When he was born he weighed a whopping 9 pounds and was right at 22 inches long. {I’d say that’s football status right? }

Baby Worth started off super alert and ready to see what all I had planned, and soon enough drifted off into that magical milk coma that brought on lots of different pictures for Mom and Dad as well as some super adorable smiles from him! Mom was able to bring in a super cute Sock Monkey that her grandma made for Baby Worth. Mom wanted to include it into the Session to surprise Grandma and let her know just how special it truly was to them. Grandma has made a sock monkey for each of her grandkids… how special is that!!  Mom was also able to bring in a Moses basket that was very sentimental to her family, as well as a hand crocheted white blanket that was given to Baby Worth as well. All of these special keepsakes are now forever captured with this sweet baby boy that he and his family will get to cherish forever.

I’m so honored to be able to photograph babies and provide these special moments to parents that seem to pass by so quickly. These are moments you can never get back. Make sure to capture them and save them forever 🙂

Hope you all enjoy your Sneak!

Baby Miles is here,  and boy oh boy did he bring his A-game! He was absolutely perfect! I have to admit, when they first arrived, I was a little skeptical because he was WIDE AWAKE! Like, nothing phased him. But you add that sweet hum of the shusher, the warmth from the little space heater, and you have yourself a winner! He fell right into my magic putty hands 🙂

Lets talk about his squishy cheeks for a minute can we?? I mean…. the CUTEST little cheeks I’ve ever seen. I’m pretty sure I snuggled with him more than I do most babies, but he just reminded me of my littles when they were first born that I just couldn’t help myself. Now that mine are 12 and 6, I’m pretty sure I’m not going to start back over at this point, so I’m just going to enjoy the “job” aspect of what I do….. snuggling babies 🙂 The best part… I still get to sleep a full night… LOL.

When I asked Mom what colors she was interested in seeing in the Session, she immediately said Orange and Blue. Now, if you’re not from around here, that could sound like just a really nice color combo someone thought of. HOWEVER, if you live within 100 miles of this area, you know exactly what that means. Can I get a War Eagle?? 🙂  Mom’s a huge Auburn fan and wanted that to show through out the Session, so I got all my Orange and Blue goodness out and we made a Session out of it. I do have to say though, I’m pretty sure one of my favorite pictures out of the whole Session is going to be the little camper setup we did at the end. It was a struggle and it took a little bit longer to get him into position that the other poses, but look at it!! It’s so stinkin’ adorable, does it matter? Nope. Not one. little. bit.  I gotta say, Becky over at Intuition Backgrounds does a fabulous job on all of her drops so I just knew as soon as I received it, that it was going to be a hit!!

I hope you all enjoy the Sneak Peak into Baby Miles’ Newborn Session!
