Sweet Baby Ava wanted to make sure her grand entrance into this world was nothing short of Grand! LOL. After making Mom go through over 26 hours of labor, she finally debuted and was welcomed with love and lots of kisses and snuggles 🙂 Once Mom had Dad convinced that she needed to document this special time in their lives with a Professional Newborn Photoshoot, Mom drove almost 2.5 hours to come see me. That is such an amazing feeling knowing there were other photographers a lot closer to her, but she chose me to help document and save these precious memories. If that doesn’t make you feel like you’re doing something right, nothing will 🙂

Once they arrived to the studio with Baby Ava, we went ahead and got started so we could get as many different looks as possible. She started off wide awake, which is actually a really sweet thing because parents ALWAYS love the wide awake shots, so we went ahead and got some of her with her beautiful brown eyes. She was really good with the whole eye contact thing as well, especially with her only being 14 days new! But it didn’t take long, she drifted off to sleep and I got to work my magic. Talking about a dream baby….. she was the definition! She let me wrap her up, ball her up and do all kinds of wonderful poses with her and hardly made a sound. I think one of my favorite images from her session with me would either be the Froggy picture, with the bear headband on…. or either the very last picture where we had her laying on my wood swing in her super cute baby blue outfit. {Blue is my favorite color to put on girls… don’t ask me why, but it’s always so complementing! } OF COURSE, the last picture of her on the swing was a composite shot, so please don’t just have a baby laying on a swing with no supervision!! I had Mom and Grandma on either side of her and a Column under the swing to make it secure. Once we got the picture with the baby, we took her off and got a picture of the Mom and Grandma holding the swing up and VOILA! Composite complete 😉
Baby Safety is ALWAYS put first before any pose or special look we are trying to achieve.
I hope you all enjoy your Sneak Peak and I look forward to many more Sessions with Baby Ava!
