It’s finally here! Brittany Lauren and I have been talking and dreaming about this for awhile. We wanted to create an intimate newborn workshop that brings you the ultimate newborn photography learning experience. With my business background and Jessica’s newborn skills, it seemed like the best fit to create The Business of Newborn Photography – from start to finish.

A little about Jessica:
I have been in the photography business for a little over 10 years. I’ve specialized in newborns and children for the past 4 with no looking back! There is so much magic in capturing the first moments of the baby’s life. I loves the flaky skin and snuggling with those chubby babies. As a Photographer, you are given the opportunity to help freeze moments in time for the family and they will always remember how special that time was. Everyone starts off somewhere and my goal in this workshop is to help you perfect your weaknesses in order to excel in newborn photography. Then you can feel the love and joy of capturing these timeless moments.
A little about Brittany:
It’s been almost 3 years since I left corporate america to follow my dream of photography. Starting in NYC and now in Charlotte, it hasn’t always been the easiest road but it’s worth it. I can now say I love what I do and I’ve learned how to create a successful business I enjoy and that works for me and my clients. Being a successful photographer is more than just knowing how to use your camera. You have to understand the business side of it which, in my opinion, was harder than learning her camera. Graduating with a Finance and Accounting degree makes it a little easier to understand what goes in to making a business successful but it’s still so much more than that. Over the last 3 years, I’ve made plenty of mistakes that you don’t have to. I’ve learned many things the hard way. That’s why I’m so passionate about the business side of photography and helping other photographers develop a business that works for them without some of the hurdles I had to face. I’ll be sharing it all in this workshop!
The Business of Newborn Photography – from start to finish will be a 2 day work intensive workshop February 10-11, 2015 that you’re not going to want to miss. It will be held at Jessica Mitchell’s studio in Valley, AL with workshop hours of 8am – 5pm. There will only be 4 seats available to ensure we can give each of our attendees and their business the attention they deserve. Jessica and I will be complete open books about our businesses. No topic is off limits, seriously. We will also be customizing our teaching materials to specific items you want to learn. This isn’t a one size fits all kind of workshop. We want to know what you need for your photography and business the most!

This is our first workshop which means a special introductory price of $1400. Registration will open on Friday, November 21 at 9:00am CST. To sign up, you will need to email Jessica atjessicamitchellphotography@yahoo.com starting at 9:00am CST. All emails before 9am will not be considered. The first 4 to email will be sent an invoice for a $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve your seat. The remaining balance will be due 30 days before the workshop.
