Happy 1st Birthday Khalil!!
It’s such an honor when parents drive from far off distances to come see you so that you can capture their child’s precious memories! This sweet Mama and her baby boy drove over 2 hours to come see me 2 weeks ago so that I could photograph his first birthday pictures. I’m so very glad they did because I’m pretty sure I was smitten with Mr Khalil the whole session!
As soon as they walked into the studio I just knew we were going to get some pretty cute stuff from him. He flashed me that beautiful smile and all I saw were dimples… which by the way, make me weak in my knees! LOL. Once we got going in the session he quickly looked at Mom and wasn’t too sure about what this crazy lady {me} was trying to accomplish but he just wasn’t too sure about it! Hahahaha….. so we got Mom to scoot even closer to him and slowly but surely we were able to get him comfy enough for his bright personality to start showing through in his Portraits! So you’ll be able to see, through the progression of his session, that at the beginning he was just a little iffy about things, but the further you got into it… the happier he got 🙂
I know at the end of the Session Mom was probably super stressed and feeling like we didn’t get anything she had hoped for, just because of the stress of how one year old’s normally act, but I reassured her time and time again that she was going to be super excited about the outcome and that she didn’t need to worry about any of it. I’m so glad I was able to hold up my end of the bargain and give Mom images she’ll never forget. The first few years always seem like such a blur, I’m glad I was able to be a part of her “blur” and help time stand still for her and Mr Khalil as he celebrated his first big birthday 🙂
I hope you all enjoy your Sneak and I hope Mr Khalil has a very Happy 1st Birthday!!
